RESEARCH ENGINEERS

 

Position: Associate Researcher / Research Engineer

Profile: The research is part of the WP2 project Alibiotech and concerns the study of starch metabolism in potatoes. Starch grain proteomics / Miniaturization of starch grain proteomics techniques to achieve single grain analysis / Identification of new genetic targets involved in control of size and number of starch grains / Vector construction for genomic editing of the potato.

Under the responsibility of C. D'HULST, this 10-month post was awarded to Nicolas SZYDLOWSKI (UGSF-ULille / CNRS). This position has been renewed for 14 months.

 

Position: Associate Researcher / Research Engineer

Profile: The research is part of WP1 of the Alibiotech project in the subproject entitled "Detection of plant metabolic pathways resulting from host-pathogenic biotic interactions during plastidial endosymbiosis". The candidate's mission is to cultivate and study a collection of 50 mutants of the chroméride algae Vitrella brassicaformis with various deficiencies for the metabolism of starch. It characterizes the structural alteration of the polysaccharide and characterizes the enzymes of this metabolism in the wild and deficient strains in order to correlate the defects with a particular enzymatic alteration. The candidate sequences all genes encoding the enzymes of the starch metabolism in wild and mutant strains. Finally, the candidate is introduced to phylogenetic techniques in order to trace the evolutionary history of deficient genes in mutants.

Under the responsibility of S. BALL, this 10-month post was awarded to Malika CHABI (UGSF-ULille / CNRS). This position has been renewed for 15 months.

 

Position: Research Engineer

Profile: The recruited engineer works in relation with the Alibiotech research project and in particular the research of WP2 on dereplication analyzes of several plants studied at the Charles Viollette Institute. She is responsible for liaising with REALCAT and CUMA platform staff.

Under the responsibility of S. SAHPAZ, this 12-month post was awarded to Natacha BONNEAU (ICV-ULille). This position has been renewed for 12 months.

 

Position: Research Engineer

Profile: (1) Management of the collection of strains used in the project, (2) Establishment of purification protocols and characterization of antimicrobial peptides, (3) Establishment of protocols for the screening of antagonistic lactic acid bacteria, (4) Establishment of protocols for cellular safety, (5) Development of the concept of biopreservation of food.

Under the responsibility of D. DRIDER, this 10-month post was awarded to Yanath BELGUESMIA (ICV-ULille).

 

Position: Research Engineer

Profile: Study of the metabolism associated with the construction of plant cell walls / Study of monolignol glycosylation in plants / Development of new imaging techniques to study the parietal metabolism.

Under the responsibility of S. HAWKINS, this 6-month post was awarded to Fabien BALDACCI-CRESP (UGSF-ULille / CNRS). This position has been renewed for 14 months.

 

Position: Research Engineer

Profile: Study of microbial populations and hydrolytic activities associated with the degradation of plant cell walls.

Under the responsibility of S. HAWKINS, this 6-month post was awarded to Nelly BADALATO (UGSF-ULille / CNRS). This position has been renewed for 14 months.

 

Position: Research Engineer

Profile: The study concerns the characterization of interactions at the interfaces between bacteria and abiotic surfaces. At the material level, it will develop superhydrophobic coatings effectively limiting the adhesion of microorganisms.

Under the responsibility of N.-E. CHIHIB, this 11-month post was awarded to Simon KHELISSA (UMET - PIHM team - INRA).

 

Position: Research Engineer

Profile: The engineer will be assigned to WP4 of the Alibiotech project and more particularly in the field of the development of method and concepts for the quality control of fresh and processed foods. He/she will be involved in the advancing of the research work of the team QSA Site-Artois within the framework of this project. More specifically, his work will focus on the characterization of the authenticity and naturalness of food by spectral and chromatographic approaches, but also the identification of the relationship between structure - texture by spectral, rheological and sensory techniques coupled with chemometrics.

Under the responsibility of Romdhane KAROUI, this 12-month post was awarded to Salma BEN HARB (ICV-UArtois).

 

 

STUDY ENGINEERS

 

Position: Study Engineer

Profile: Finalize the acquisition of data and ensure the perenity of manipulations and assurer la pérennité des manipulations et genotype. Expertise in molecular biology and bioinformatics will be needed.

Under the responsibility of B. DELBREIL, this 5-months post was awarded to Sanaa BEJI (ICV-ULille).

 

Position: Study Engineer

Profile: Study of cleaning operations present in surfaces polluted by bacteria in sporulated form (Bacillus spp) or in the form of biofilms (Bacillus, Pseudomonas). More specifically the study concerns the role of mechanical stresses exerted by the flow of foams with low surfactant and water on the contaminated cleaning kinetics. The engineer's work consists of the experimental and numerical characterization (CFD) of foam flows within straight pipes or within singularities. The engineer will work in partnership with a team composed of two scientists, a study instrumentation engineer, a doctoral student and a technical assistant in mechanics.

Under the responsibility of T. BENEZECH, this 13-month post was awarded to Heni DALLAGI (UMET - PIHM team, site of CERTIA - INRA).

 

Position: Study Engineer

Profile: Develop new processes for obtaining new active biomolecules, conduct and monitor analytical experiments in bioreactors with free cells, with biomass retention and with fixed cells. Exploit the results and participate in their valorization. Ensure the operation of the fermentation platform. Train and supervise users of the platform. Enforce the health and safety rules of the platform.

Under the responsibility of D. LECOUTURIER, this 11-month post was awarded to Emmeline BERTRAND (ICV-ULille).

 

Position: Study Engineer

Profile: The engineer participates in various experiments related to the research project ALIBIOTECH and in particular the work of WP2 on the identification, characterization and production of plant biomolecules. Tasks affected: she participates in plant cell culture experiments (chicory, hop, callus culture, root hairs ...), physiology (circadian cycles), biochemistry (chromatography) and bacterial and antifungal tests ...

Under the responsibility of C. RAMBAUD, this 11-month post was awarded to Audrey ETIENNE (ICV-ULille). This position has been renewed for 12 months.

 

Position: Study Engineer

Profile: The engineer is responsible for the proper functioning of the cell culture room and the maintenance of the lines. He is involved in various experiments related to the ALIBIOTECH research project and in particular the work of WP2 on the characterization of biomolecules (cytotoxicity, intestinal barrier model, cell physiology ...) Tasks assigned: inventory management, passage and maintenance of lines. Molecular biology skills are required, and expertise in immunofluorescence is appreciated.

Under the responsibility of R. RAVALLEC, this 11-month post was awarded to Rezak MENDIL (ICV-ULille). This position has been renewed for 12 months.

 

Position: Study Engineer

Profile: Conducting experiments for the concentration, fractionation and purification of biomolecules (membrane processes, extraction, adsorption ...). Development and adjustment of experimental devices. Organization and management of relations with suppliers.

Under the responsibility of L. FIRDAOUS and K. DIMITROV, this 11-month post was awarded to Adrien FORESTIER (ICV-ULille). This position has been renewed for 12 months.

 

Position: Study Engineer

Profile: The engineer will work on the WP2 of the ALIBIOTECH research project. He/she will participate in research work on natural molecules as an alternative to chemical fungicides used in crop protection (biocontrol). Tasks performed: demonstration of efficacy in vitro and in planta by calculation of indicators, statistical analyses, cytological observations. Skills in microbiology, mycology with good knowledge in plant biology, cell biology and agronomic sciences will be appreciated.

Under the responsibility of J. MUCHEMBLED, this 10-month post was awarded to Justine JACQUIN (ICV-ULille).

 

Position: Study Engineer

Profile: The engineer will work on the isolation of monospore strains of Zymoseptoria tritici, on the characterization of strains with several markers (microsatellites, genes of fungicide resistance, genes coding for effectors, ...) and will analyze data using population genetics software.

Under the responsibility of A. SIAH, this 11-month post was awarded to Maxime HOLVOET (ICV-ULille).

 

 

TECHNICIANS

 

Profile: Technician

Position: The technician is involved in the molecular biology activities of the ALIBIOTECH research project and in particular the work of WP2 on the characterization of the molecular determinants involved in the biosynthesis of specialized metabolites in chicory. Tasks assigned: basic techniques of molecular biology (PCR, qPCR), cloning, production of recombinant proteins, purification of recombinant proteins. Molecular biology skills are needed and expertise in protein biochemistry is appreciated.

Under the responsibility of D. GAGNEUL, this 11-month post was awarded to Amandine WATRIN (ICV-ULille). This position has been renewed for 12 months.
